Summary: He would be the one to make her happy for the rest of her life, like the picture-perfect dancing figures of a porcelein music box, no matter how high the cost.
He had not counted the minutes since he first laid eyes upon the tiny music box. It was nothing extravagant - simply a ceramic figure of a dancing couple which slowly turned upon its base as a soft melody played - yet even the normally wild and vicious clone of Lloyd stood entranced by it.
That song - how could he forget that song? It was their song; their song about how she was the sunshine and how much he loved her. Every note that chimed as the brass spool turned made him think of everything of her, from the softness of her skin to the love that poured from the purest heart that mankind had to offer. She truly was the sunshine that lit up the world - the ray of light that made everything perfect. And soon, he thought - soon she would be able to shine brighter than ever before.
That would be the day when he would sweep her off of her feet and take her away - away from all pain and suffering, from the lies which tried to keep her chained in the darkness - and into a beautiful place, all to themselves. He'd make her happy - give her lovely gifts, sing her lovely songs, hold her in his arms and kiss her goodnight, quench her passions, love her completely and tenderly... He would pour the contents of his heart out for her, eternally serve her and make sure everything was perfect and beautiful. He would never allow another burden upon her. He would never allow another lie to taint her. He would never allow another wound upon her body. He would never allow her to suffer the pain of death and allow her to experience true joy forever, showered by his love for her and his desire to protect her. He would become her keeper, her knight in shining armor, her servant, her pillar of strength, and most importantly, her one and only true love, transcending even death to keep her by his side.
Perhaps, he thought, he could start today - this very music box would be the first of many wonderful things he would give as tokens of his love. Perhaps the couple upon the turnstile would remind her of the way it was - the way it should be, the destiny that pathetic coward Lloyd could never give to her. After all, he was the only one who could ever do what was necessary to make his and Lloyd's dreams come true.
"That costs five-hundred gald, sir, if you're -"
Before the shopkeeper could say another word, a blade had plunged into his round belly. The other Lloyd kicked the man off of his sword and took the music box in his other hand, not bothering to wipe the metal clean of blood.
"No," he said, stomping on the shopkeeper's stomach to watch the blood spurt out of his wound, "it's free." He kicked him once more in the side, then, leaving behind a bloody footprint, he exited the store.
